The five countries signed a historic agreement on Sunday in connection with the negotiations that lasted more than 2 decades in relation to the legal status of this sea between the 5 Caspian C-5 coastal countries, rich in resources.
This agreement was signed on Sunday at the conclusion of the Fifth Caspian Summit in the port city of Aktau, in Kozzastah, Iranian President Dr Hassan Rohani and his Russian, Azari, Qazax and Turkish counterparts Vladimir Putin, Ilham Elieuf, Nursultan Nazarbayef and Qurbankuli Berdichumed Meadef signed .
The Caspian Sea Convention is a document based on 24 paragraphs whose most important article is to declare the military presence of foreigners in this sea and the transit of foreign material for foreigners. In this convention the same emphasizes that the Caspian Sea has the right to all coastal countries and the external countries will not be permitted to make any kind of military camps in this sea.
The Caspian Sea Convention recognizes the right to decide on all coastal countries in relation to this sea, as well as emphasize the sovereignty of all coastal countries.
Prior to signing the Caspian C convention, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif had said while appreciating the unity among all the coastal countries of Caspian Sea that cooperation between the five countries will continue to “uncertain issues”
