Jakarta: On the second day of the 18th Asian Games being played in Indonesia, 1 gold and 2 silver medals came in India’s part. India is the eighth place in medal taluka. On the second day of Asian Games, Vinesh Phogat, who won gold in Wrestling, became the first Indian woman to make it to the Asian Games, whereas in the target Deepak and Goal won the Silver Medal for India.

By winning 5 medals with 2 gold in the first two days, India has reached 8th rank in medal tally. In the medal table, China is at number one after winning 15 gold, while Japan with 8 gold and Korea second with 5 gold is at the third spot.
India was expected of medal in Sakshi Malik and Sumit in wrestling. But both of them did not succeed in winning the Wrestler Bronze medal. Apart from wrestling, India also got disappointed in badminton. India’s men team lost to hosts Indonesia in the quarter-finals of the Bandit team.
However, India has started with a great win in hockey. In the first match, the Indian men’s team defeated hosts Indonesia 17-0 in their first match. This is the biggest win against any team in India in the Asian Games.
Indian women’s kabaddi team continued their good performance while the Indian women’s kabaddi team released the 18th Asian Games here also won their third match on Tuesday. India defeated Sri Lanka by 38-12 and secured top spot in Group A with six points.
