New Delhi: A dispute over the statement of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has started a controversy. Congress has demanded apology by calling Khattar’s statement anti-women. Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar should apologize for the “anti-female” remarks in connection with rape. Surjewala posted a video of Khattar’s alleged statement on Twitter and said, “Women anti-Khatgar government, do not despise daughters! The condemnation of Haryana Chief Minister Khattar ji.
The chief spokesman of the Congress claimed, “Khattar ji said that maximum incidents of rape are with those who arise and roam around. It is very embarrassing to blame the incidents of mounting rape and gangrape on the character of women. ‘ He said that Khattar should apologize for his statement. There is no response from Khattar’s office or the BJP on the alleged statement or allegations of Surjevala.
What did Khattar say?
During a program, the Chief Minister of Haryana said, “The biggest concern is that these incidents of rap and tampering are between 80-90 percent of the experts. For a long time both of them roam together and one day became confused. Wake up that day and get an FIR – ‘It rape me’.
Let it be said that this is not the first time when Manohar Lal Khattar has made a controversial statement regarding the rape. Earlier in 2014, he had attributed clothing to rape. Now once again he is in the headlines about his statement.
