Bharti’s Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj is on a two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates and during her visit, she will participate in the 12th session of the Indo-UAE Joint Commission on Economic and Technical Cooperation.
According to the report received, Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj reached Abu Dhabi late on Monday for the 12th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting (JCM). He will join the meeting with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. Sushma co-chaired the meeting of the 12th session of the India-UAE Joint Commission on Economic and Technical Cooperation with her counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Ali Nahyan during his UAE tour.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravi Kumar, spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, informed about the arrival of Sushma Swaraj’s Abu Dhabi through social media. He tweeted, “Hello Abu Dhabi! Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj has arrived in the attractive city Abu Dhabi. The External Affairs Minister will co-chair the 12th session of JCM, which is going to be held between India and UAE. During this time, he will inaugurate the Gandhi-Zayed Digital Museum in Abu Dhabi, UAE and also interact with the people of Indian community.
It is notable that Gandhi-Zayed Digital Museum will reflect the foundations of modern UAE Sheikh Zayed and the life, actions and ideas of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of India. This museum is being inaugurated on such occasions when Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary and Sheikh Zayed’s birth centenary year.
Be aware that with the bilateral trade of nearly US $ 50 billion, India and UAE are one of the largest trading partners of each other and they have made strong investments in each other. UAE is the sixth largest source of imported oil to India, and around 3.3 million people live in the Indian community.
