NEW DELHI: Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim, convicted rapist and three others in the Ramchandra Chattrapati murder case, will be sentenced to a special CBI court in Panchkula for a while. The wait of journalist Ram Chandra’s family fighting for justice for 17 years will end today.
All convicts, including Ram Rahim, will be pronounced through video conferencing. Apart from Ram Rahim, the names of Krishna Lal, Nirmal Singh and Kuldeep Singh are included in the convicts. Special CBI Judge Jagdeep Singh will hear the hearing for the sentence. The court hearing will be close to two o’clock in the afternoon.
Before this, yesterday the court gave huge relief to the Haryana government in this regard and allowed the muscle to be heard in the court of the convicts through video conferencing. The Haryana government had petitioned the court in this matter due to law and order. Security has been tightened in Panchkula in view of the punishment.
What is the whole matter?
In the journalist massacre, Ram Rahim will be sentenced to death, the massacre is 17 years old. Ramchandra Chhatrapati used to carry a daily newspaper full of truth in Sirsa. In 2002, Ramchandra wrote the news on the activities of Dera Sacha Sauda in full indeed. On 24th October 2002 two attackers shot journalist Chattrapati out of his house.
Ramchandra died on November 21, 2002 in Delhi’s Apollo hospital recruitment. The journalist’s family had filed a case against Ram Rahim. The investigation of this massacre was handed over to CBI on November 2003. In 2007, the CBI had accused Ram Rahim of plotting to murder On January 11, 2019, the special court of Panchkula had convicted three other accused including Ram Rahim.
