The United Nations has stressed the implementation of the Annan Council’s recommendations on Rohingya Muslims from the Myanmar Government.
The United Nations has stressed the implementation of the recommendations of the panel constituted in connection with the Rohingya crisis on the Myanmar government. This panel was formed under the chairmanship of former United Nations General Secretary late Koffi Annan. This panel emphasized on the right to freedom from Rohingya Muslims to move from one place to another.
Addressing a forum in the capital of Myanmar on Monday, UNICEF Chief Henryta Four presented a miserable assessment of the situation of Rohingya children in Myanmar. A large number of these children were forced to flee to neighboring Bangladesh with their parents.
Four said that due to the government-sponsored violence in Myanmar, there is danger to people forced to take shelter and those who are still in Myanmar do not have access to proper education.
Hintera Four said that neighboring Bangladesh, Rohingyas are living in a very miserable situation in Bangladesh. He said that the Myanmar government has not yet made favorable conditions for the return of refugees from Bangladesh.
He said: “We insist on taking necessary steps for the return of their safe and respected family so that their rights are respected and they can live peacefully with their neighbors.” The UNICEF chief stressed that the steps of this trend will also be effective in making the right conditions for the return of refugees from Bangladesh.
