Despite the strong opposition from the Islamic Republic of Iran, America, a member of the United Nations Peace Commission has been elected.

According to the IRNA report, the member countries of the United Nations Economic and Social Council have approved Iran’s membership in the peace commission of the world’s largest body, despite strong opposition from the United States. In the meeting of the Council of Economic and Social Council in the headquarters of the United Nations, voting took place on Iran’s membership in Iran, in which Iran won 35 votes in 46 votes and defeated America’s Armanans.

The membership period of the United Nations Peace Commission will be two years. The US delegation, who attended the meeting of the Economic and Social Council, did a great deal of effort that Iran could not become a member of the Peace Commission in any way. In the same perspective, the United States also demanded that voting for peace commission membership be kept secret. But most members of the Economic and Social Commission, openly supporting Iran, failed all plans of the United States.

It is notable that the United Nations Peace Commission is an organization whose objective is to prevent internal conflicts and violence arising in different countries of the world and to help in establishing security and peace in that country.
