New Delhi: In order to pay homage to martyrs in the terror attack in Pulwama, traders today announced the closure of India trade across the country. The closure call has been made by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), a leading organization of traders. CAT said in the statement that all wholesale and retail markets will be closed during the shutdown.
CAT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said that a tribute meeting will be held at 12.30 pm at Bellpur, Chandni Chowk in Delhi, along with paying homage to the martyrs, along with the effigy of Pakistan and Chinese goods will be burnt. He said that the traders will also raise funds for the help of martyrs’ families who will be given directly to the families of the martyrs. He said that the clerk will include traders from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and other states.
Curfew continues in Jammu, internet shutdown
At the same time, after the Pulwama terror attack, curfew imposed after the violence in Jammu continues. Curfew was not given any relief on the third day on Sunday. Meanwhile, the vigil has been tightened in the city amid fears of violence due to the closure of traders of India today. Internet mobile is also closed.
Whether the curfew will be relaxed today or not will be decided on Sunday night. On Friday, there were sporadic incidents of anti-Pakistan demonstrations and violence against Jammu terrorists on the convoy of the CRPF convoy in Pulwama district on Thursday, due to which curfew was imposed in the city.
