Lucknow: In the wake of Lok Sabha elections, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has formed election committees in Uttar Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi has appointed Congress President Raj Babbar as the president of the election committee. At the same time, senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi has been given the responsibility of the committee head of the manifesto.
Apart from these, Rahul Gandhi has appointed senior leader Rajiv Shukla as the chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee. Not only this, Gajraj Singh has been nominated as chairman of the promotion committee and Ajay Kumar Lallu is the chairman of the coordination committee.
Former Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid has been made Chairman of Election Strategy and Planning Committee.
After telling that Mayawati’s party Bahujan Samaj Party and Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party did not get place in the alliance, Congress is now ready to challenge the opponents on their own. Congress will contest all 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP
Significantly, the Samajwadi Party 37 and the Bahujan Samaj Party will contest the 38 Lok Sabha seats. Amethi and Rae Bareli seats have been left for Congress, while two seats have been reserved for smaller parties.
