Lucknow: Congress has become more active in the Lok Sabha elections. The party has begun to formulate a strategy for elections in the state. Today, under the chairmanship of the state president Rajbabber, the chaos in the Congress office of the old legendary capital is going to be churning. Congress state spokesperson Virendra Madan said, “In the meeting, there will be an idea about the party’s electoral strategy, from elections management to coalition with other parties.”
He said that apart from state president Rajbhar, senior strategists of two dozen Congress including senior leaders PL Punia, Pramod Tiwari, Sriprakash Jaiswal, Sanjay Singh and Jitin Prasad will be present in the meeting. Apart from this, all members of the election committee will be present.
Madan said that in this meeting, discussions about the selection of Loksabhaa Candidates will be discussed.
Significantly, in the wake of the Lok Sabha elections, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has constituted the Coordination Committee, Planning Committee, Media and Publicity Committee and the Announcement Commitment Committee apart from the state’s election committee. In these committees, almost all the big leaders of the state have got place.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi has split the Uttar Pradesh’s 80 Lok Sabha seats between the two in-charge of the state. UP East in-charge Priyanka Gandhi, in charge of 41 Lok Sabha seats and UP West Charge Jyotiraditya Scindia has been given the responsibility of 39 Lok Sabha seats.
Priyanka Gandhi has been involved in strengthening the organization since becoming a general secretary. For this, he has held several stages in Uttar Pradesh. Through this he is taking feedback. After the election of the SP-BSP, the Congress was feeling isolated. There were two options to either satisfy the rest of the remaining seats or try luck on all 80 seats.
