There is a dispute over the misunderstanding of Misré’s Grand Mufti and senior Imam that there is injustice against polygamy women.
Egypt’s Al-Azhar Mosque and head of Al-Azhar University Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayyab have made this statement on tweeter and TV.
Egypt’s Grand Mufti says that those who do not understand the Quran, if they multiply, they do injustice to women.
Egyptian influential Imam had also met with Christian chieftains Pope Francis in February.
He said, this practice is the result of not understanding the teachings of the Qur’an and the last Messenger of God Pagambare Islam.
He said in a television program, “Those people who say that marriage means polygyny, they are wrong. Any Muslim who wants to marry a polygamous person must follow certain conditions related to fairness, wife’s rights and justice. If the person can not do justice then it is haram to marry more than one.
They said, women represent half the society, if we are not taking care of them and are not supplying their rights, then it is just like we are just walking with one leg.
Where the opposition is facing the statement of Sheikh Tayyab on social media, he is getting huge support for this.
Al-Azhar University has issued an explanation after the statement of Sheikh Tayyab, saying that he has not given a grave agreement to the Grand Mufti, as some people are claiming.
