New Delhi: Goa Chief Minister and former Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar died on Sunday at the age of 63. He was 63 years old. On his demise, all the people of the country have expressed condolence. Congress President Rahul Gandhi expressed his condolence and said that he was respected by all the people of the party.
While tweeting, Rahul Gandhi said, “I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of Goa CM Manohar Parrikar, who has been suffering from lethal illness for more than a year, honored and admired in party lines, he is favorite of Goa. This was one of the sons, and in this moment of sadness my sympathy is to his family. ”
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has also expressed her sadness over the demise of Manohar Parrikar. He said, “I have my feelings for Manohar Parrikar’s bereavement family, I met him only once, when he met my mother Sonia Gandhi two years ago in the hospital. May his soul get peace.”
CM Manohar Parrikar will be cremated in the state on Monday with full state honors. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all Union ministers will reach Goa tomorrow and pay tribute to Manohar Parrikar. Manohar Parrikar was running ill for a long time. In February last year, he was confirmed to be suffering from pancreatic cancer. He had treated in America, Mumbai and Delhi. Recently, he used to come to the order of treatment in AIIMS.
