New: The Central Government has extended the deadline for connecting the biometric identification number ‘Aadhaar’ with the permanent account number (PAN) for six months to 30 September 2019. This information has been given in an official statement. This is the sixth time when the government has extended the deadline to connect the pan with the base.
In June last year, the government had said that every person should link their biometric identification number with the PAN till March 31. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has said in the statement issued today, “… if no specific exemption is granted, the last date for giving information about Aadhaar numbers and linking the PAN with Aadhaar number is now 30 September 2019 is. ”
However, it has also been said that it will be mandatory to mention the Aadhaar number by filling income tax return from April 1, 2019.
CBDT said that such reports have shown that such a PAN, which will not be linked to the basis till March 31, will be treated as invalid. After this, considering the matter, the government increased the last date of joining them to September 30
