New Delhi: Election Commission has asked the Uttar Pradesh Election Office to give detailed report in this matter after taking cognizance on the statement of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, telling the Indian Army ‘Modiji’s army’. A commission official said that on the media reports related to this statement of Yogi Adityanath given in Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, the Commission has taken cognizance of this action. The commission has asked the Ghaziabad District Magistrate to report in this matter.
The Ghaziabad District Magistrate will provide detailed information on the facts related to this matter to the State Election Office. The Election Office will submit to the Report Commission prepared on its basis. It is notable that Yogi Adityanath made this remark during the election meeting on Sunday in favor of MP and Union Minister VK Singh from Ghaziabad. In this, the Yogi said, “The people of Congress used to bribe the terrorists and the army of Modi ji shoots the terrorists and shoots them.”
On March 19, the Commission had issued a consultation to all political parties and asked them to avoid mentioning military and military operations for political gain during campaigning. Explaining this clearly violation of Election Code of Conduct, the Commission has asked political parties and politicians to avoid the spread of soldiers and military campaign on social media and other related material.
