Both leaders reached Kozhikode on Wednesday night. When Rahul Gandhi came out of the airport, a large number of party youth workers were welcome. Congress chief’s Chennaiitla, Oman Chandi, Mullapally Ramachandran, IUML leader PK Kunhilikutt and E T Muhammad Bashar received the welcome. Later, Rahul and Priyanka went to the guest house safely from the airport.
Chandy said that with the candidacy of Rahul in Wayanad, the UDF will win the election on April 23. “Before the filing of nomination papers, the Congress chief and Priyanka Gandhi Roadshow will do at around 9.30 am,” he said. Wasnik told reporters here, “The entire Congress party and the UDF had invited Rahul to contest the elections from Kerala. Similar invitations also came from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

In Kerala, BJP and BDJS combine to contest elections. Tushar Vellapalli filed nomination from Wayanad seat on Wednesday.
In the past, senior Kerala leader and former Defense Minister AK Antony had announced to fight Rahul Gandhi’s Wayanad seat saying that Congress is a party which sees the whole country in one form. His candidature will increase the success of Congress in Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Wayanad district shares the border with both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
