In this phase, voting is held today in all the seats of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. At the same time, polling in the two Union Territories of Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands will also end.
There are 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh, 17 in Telangana and all five seats in Uttarakhand are still voting. Polls in Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya in two seats, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim will end all one seat.
Polling is going on in all 91 seats in this phase. A total of 1279 candidates are in the electoral fray. Along with that, all the 175 Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh, all the assembly seats of Sikkim 32, all 60 seats in Arunachal Pradesh and 28 Assembly seats in Odisha are also going on.
Polling will be held in seven phases across the country, the first phase of polling is going on today. The last phase will be on May 19. Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
